FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing hexachloroethane that is used in production of coolant-113, tablets for degassing, in molding aluminum articles, in preparing deodorants, bactericidal preparations and foaming mixtures. Method involves addition of CCl4 to powdered aluminum in argon atmosphere. Aluminum is activated with iodine preliminary. The mole ratio aluminum : CCL4 = 1:8. Process is carried out under atmosphere pressure, at temperature 45 C for 30 min. EFFECT: enhanced yield of end product, reduced amount of waste. |
