FIELD: production of packing materials, in particular, quality control of the perform used for production of colored plastic bottles. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in control of the guaranteed geometry of the perform, its weight and uniformity of the color, comparison of the mentioned characteristics with the parameters preset by the State Standard and conclusion on fitness of the perform. In addition, the perform transparency is checked. To this end, the factors of transparency of the perform material in the optical and infra-red spectra are measured, compared with the preliminarily measured maximum values of the transparency factors of the channels without the perform, and in case the measured characteristics do not exceed the maximum values a conclusion is made on fitness of the perform.
