<p>The width l of a collar (2) of a spring collet with a shaft (1A) for machine tools is determined as a function of the course of a clamping sleeve (20) within which it is at least partially lodged. This width is preferably within an interval between 3 mm and 9 mm. A face (4; 4A; 4B) of the collar (2) presents an inclined profile which is straight or at least partially curved. The angle of inclination formed with the shaft (1A) is advantageously or the order of 45°. The spring collet (1) includes grooves (11; 12), the number whereof may be greater than three. The gap of these grooves may be determined in such a way that, when the spring collet (1) is in the closed position on the workpiece (10) according to a predetermined clamping force, the two mutually opposing faces of each groove part (12R) are flush against each other.</p> |
