The system to detect the removal of a tablet or capsule (20) from the pocket (2a-2g) of a blister pack (1), by breaking the sealing foil, has a layered structure with at least one carrier plate (10) covered by a cladding layer (6) towards the sealing foil. The cladding layer has a number of separate conductor paths leading to the individual blister pocket zones, which are broken when a tablet/capsule is removed. The carrier plate has openings, matching the layout of the blister pockets, for the removed tablet/capsule to pass through.
