<p>A cutting tool, characterized in that it has a chemical composition: Cr: 32 to 44 mass %, Al: 2.3 to 6.0 mass %, and balance: Ni and impurities and trace amounts of added elements, and has a Rockwell C hardness of 52 or more. The cutting tool is a Ni-Cr based alloy cutting tool which is excellent in formability, can be produced with a greatly simplified production process, is reduced in the lowering of hardness in the case wherein it is heated during use, is excellent in corrosion resistance and the resistance to low temperature brittle fracture, and is capable of retaining good cutting performance for a long period of time.</p> |
