In its casing (1) a linear slide (4) is biased against a front stop (5) by spring-loading. The slide includes a catch projection (7), extending from the casing for locking. The catch (7) is retracted by a conical (or wedge) drive (9, 10). This is operated by a button (8) mounted in the casing. It has a conical section (9) on its lower end, which acts against the corresponding conical (or wedge) bore (10) in the slide.
