A light-conductor with a light inlet surface : light outlet surface ratio at least4 contains a light-guide layer which (i) contains polymethyl methacrylate (at least60 wt.%) and spherical particles of average diameter 0.3-40mu (0.0001-0.2 wt.%) and (ii) has a structured light outlet surface. Independent claims are also included for production of a light-conductor by (i) thermoplastically forming a composition comprising polymethyl methacrylate (at least60 wt.%) and spherical particles of average diameter 0.7-40mu (0.0001-0.2 wt.%) or (ii) radically polymerizing a mixture of by wt. (A) spherical particles of average diameter 0.7-40mu (0.0001-0.2%), (B) methyl methacrylate (40-99.9999%), (C) comonomers (0-59.9999%) and (D) a polymer soluble in (B) or (C) (0-59.9999%).
