An edge for a speaker diaphragm in which generation of distorted sound based on the partial resonance is eliminated while reducing unevenness of quality, variation of basic frequency (fo) is eliminated, resonance of the diaphragm is restrained by altering or modifying the flexibility and rigidity of the edge readily, or the frequency characteristics of a speaker can be altered by emphasizing the resonance, the product cost can be reduced while increasing the yield and the price of the speaker can be controlled while enhancing the quality.
