The invention relates to a method for forming butt joints of plaster fibre-board. According to said method, a plastically deformable material is introduced into the butt joints, said material having a tensile strength that is less than that of the plaster fibre-board, but is sufficiently high to prevent significant volumetric changes in the jointing material during the contraction of the plaster fibre-board.
