<p>An electric double-layer capacitor wherein the port-sealing is effected by a flexible covering member adapted to reliably release the pressure at the time of internal pressure increase, the port-sealing being effected by the flexible covering member, the electric double-layer capacitor being characterized in that a pressure releasing valve (1) is mounted on the flexible covering member and has a flange (2) tightly joined to the flexible covering member, and a sleeve (3) joined to the flange and projecting outside the vessel, and the sleeve (3) has a front end (5) having a self-closing passageway (6) normally closed and adapted to communicate with the outside only at the time of pressure release, and a pipe passageway (4) communicating with the interior of the vessel.</p> |
