The shower fitting has a housing, a water supply with shut-off valve, and water discharge jet. The housing (6) is T-shaped with two side clamping flanges (9), and has a closeable water intake pipe (5) and a water outlet pipe (8) at right angles to it. The height of the housing is determined by the size of the intake pipe. The outlet pipe contains a moveable spring-loaded axially sliding shut-off part (12), guided in a cam control and connected to a spray system (13). The shut-off part has a piston actuated by water pressure. The piston contains a throttle valve, which opens automatically when the piston is charged by water.
