FIELD: metal working by means of gear cutting tool with round cutters for making cone gear wheels. SUBSTANCE: head includes body with round cutters mounted in it by means of cutter holders. Each cutter has mechanism for adjusting inclination angle of main cutting edge and radial adjustment mechanism for determining position of cutting edges of round cutters having wedge stop with outer surface in the form of truncated cone being sleeve mounted coaxially relative to body. Round cutters are mounted in such a way that inclination angle of their cutting edge is equal to 0 or more. Main cutting edges of round cutters have the same inclination angle or inclination angle successively reduced from cutter to cutter at increasing number of similar cutter except for several round cutters.
