Process for the continuous casting of liquid metal, especially liquid steel, comprises casting strands of relatively small diameter in twin molds and strands of relatively large diameter in double molds within a uniform continuous casting device (1) from a customer-specific diameter row. An Independent claim is also included for a continuous casting device for liquid metals, especially liquid steel, comprising: a support roll stand (11) of a uniform continuous casting device formed either from three profile roller strips (12) with a mold assigned to each strip or from two profile roller strips; and an asymmetric mold assigned to one of the strips.
