Method for communicating between at least two client processes (13, 23) running in a single or multi-processor computer system under different operating systems (11, 21), with a shared memory that is divided into working memory and addressable memory. The operating systems each manage their own system resources, but cannot communicate directly. Accordingly an area of memory is defined as a shared exchange memory that can be accessed by both operating systems.
