Method for preparing polymer structures with bound transition metals

Polymer frameworks with bonded transition metals contain hydroxy group-containing polymers with the free OH groups at least partially converted to donor-functionalized acetal or ketal groups (or synthesis equivalents), the transition metals being bonded to the polymer via the donor function. An Independent claim is also included for preparation of the polymer frameworks.
