<p>The invention relates to a security entrance (1) provided with two doors (7, 7a). Two substantially circular-arc shaped walls (2, 2a) define therebetween a cylindrical entrance space (16), whose passageway or doorway (4, 4a) can be closed or opened with two substantially circular-arc shaped sliding doors (7, 7a). Each sliding door (7, 7a) is suspended to a cradle (5, 6, 6'; 5a, 6a, 6a') equipped with at least three pairs of rollers (5), said cradle (5, 6, 6'; 5a, 6a, 6a') being supportable on a circular-arc shaped guideway element (3). A drive belt (8; 8a) is coupled to the cradle (5, 6, 6'; 5a, 6a, 6a') for moving the sliding door (7, 7a). The drive belt (8; 8a) has its belt pulleys (9; 9a) disposed on a curvilinear path adjacent to the guideway element (3). To the floor are fastened bearing-mounted support rollers (15), the sliding door (7; 7a) having its otherwise unsupported bottom edge adapted to travel therebetween.</p> |
