<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a palladium complex catalyst that is heat stable, does not require an excessive amount of a ligand and exhibits an excellent catalytic activity in the telomerization of conjugated diene compounds. <P>SOLUTION: The palladium complex catalyses the telomerization of conjugated diene compounds and has a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carbene coordinated with palladium.
