PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester well ensuring rough separation efficiency with a chaff sieve. SOLUTION: The combine harvester is equipped with a feed pan for receiving threshed grains or straw wastes and the chaff sieve for roughly separating the grains and straw wastes fed from the feed pan adjacently in the front and rear directions in a shaking separator. The chaff sieve is arranged under the feed pan to form a head difference space between the chaff sieve and the feed pan. A separation wind can be supplied through the head difference space onto the chaff sieve. Thereby, when the amount of the threshed grains or straw wastes is large, a thick layer material is formed from the grains or straw wastes on the feed pan. The formed layer material flows from the top surface of the feed pan onto the chaff sieve and is loosened when flowing on the head difference space.
