PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pillar structure of a vehicle in which a space to store functional parts can be ensured and even though the space is formed, there is no need for reinforcement and weight is not increased. SOLUTION: First and second swelling projections 18, 26 vertically extended and swollen in a direction to mutually approach are formed in an intermediate part in the longitudinal direction of a pillar inner 15 and a reinforcement 16, thereby first and second vertical grooves 19, 27 opened to a cabin side and a cabin outer side are formed in the first and second swelling projections 18, 26, respectively. Besides, mutually opposed first and second end walls 18c, 26a of ends of the first and second swelling projections 18, 26 are brought in contact with each other. Hereupon, vertically extended first and second spaces 28, 29 are formed on front and rear sides of the pillar inner 15 and reinforcement 16, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
