PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the travelling of a carrier along a carrying line without being influenced by electromagnetic waves even in an environment where the electromagnetic waves have influenced. SOLUTION: This carrying system comprises the carrying line 2, a carrier 3 provided adaptable to travel by itself along the carrying line 2 with a travel driving device mounted thereon for carrying workpieces, and a control device 4 for controlling the travel of the carrier 3. The carrying line 2 is provided with relay stations 7 provided at a plurality of places on its route for relaying control signals transmitted from the control device 4. A sub-controller is mounted on the carrier 3 for controlling the travel driving device after receiving the control signals from the closest relay station 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
