PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling device capable of smoothly and definitely preventing the occurrence of problems caused by the sealing defect of a bag. SOLUTION: The filling device is so constituted that a packing station 3 is provided with a working table 27 which bags a fluid article, a filling valve 11 which is mounted on the table 27 and fills the article in a bag, a belt conveyor 48 which is mounted on the table 27 and transfers the bag in which the article is filled by the valve 11, a sealing/printing device 12 which is mounted on the table 27 corresponding to the upper side of the conveyor 48 and seals the opening end of the bag transferred by the conveyor 48, an illuminator sector 50 which is mounted on the device 12 and detects the sealing defect of a bag sealed portion and a light receiving section.
