PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight steel wheel for an automobile with enhanced high strength, which keeping the design of a two-piece full design wheel. SOLUTION: This steel wheel A for the automobile is configurated by welding and bonding an outermost edge of a rim 1 to an innermost peripheral edge of an outer bead seat part 13 of a disc 10. The strength can be enhanced while keeping the design of the two-piece full design wheel by enlarging a design area of the disc 10 and reducing the bending moment acting on the rim 1. As the strength is enhanced and the bead seat part of the rim becomes unnecessary, the weight saving can be achieved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
