The invention concerns a blade construction for a cutting machine, which comprises a blade body (6) and a blade section (1), which can be attached to it and in which there is a body section (2) and a cutting section (3). In th e body section (2), there are grooves (4) alternating on each side of the body section. In the blade body (6), there are openings (8), the distance between which corresponds to the distance of the grooveless sections (5) of the body section (2) and the width of which corresponds to the width of the grooveles s sections (5).
