The present invention relates to a protective garment for the backside as well as the hip bone edges of especially a person, who is practicing a sport, which garment comprises absorbing parts, designed to cover the backside and the hip bone edges respectively of that person. The protective garment has a shield-like shape and comprises three parts (2, 3, 4) which are loosely or firmly connected to each other and of which the shape of the intermediate part (2) is a truncated osceles triangle having an upper base (14) and a lower, short, relatively narrow part (15), the two other parts (3, 4) being disposed at the long sides (16, 17) of the osceles triangle, which parts (3, 4) taper off downwards and have a shape, which extends outwards and to a higher level than the upper base (14) of the triangle in order to, when the protective garment is used, by means of their wider parts (18, 19) cover the hip bone edges and by means of the base (14) of the intermediate part (2) cover the backside and by means of the lower, shorter and narrow part (15) of the intermediate part (2) cover the caudal vertebra. |
