<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink supply method for a printing press capable of rapidly converging the color density of printed matter to a target value, and to provide an ink supply device for the printing press. <P>SOLUTION: The ink supply method for the printing press includes a color density measuring process for measuring the color density of the printed matter with the elapse of time, an alteration coefficient operation process for operating an alteration coefficient for altering the amount of ink to be supplied on the basis of the color density of the printed matter and the target color density, a color density gradient operation process for operating a color density gradient for showing the increase and decrease ratio of the color density of the printed matter with respect to an increase in the number of printing sheets on the basis of the color density of the printed matter, an estimate color density operation process for operating the estimate color density of the printed matter after a predetermined number of sheets are printed on the basis of the color density gradient, a judge process for judging whether the estimate color density of the printed matter exceeds the target color density after a predetermined number of sheets are printed, and an alteration coefficient correction process for correcting the alteration coefficient when the estimate color density of the printed matter is judged to exceed the target color density of the printed matter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
