PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium holder suitable for providing a recording medium such as a CD or a DVD for sales promotion. SOLUTION: The recording medium holder 1 for sales promotion consists of a thin platelike body such as cardboard. The platelike body comprises an intermediate plate 12, a recording medium holding plate 11 foldably connected with the intermediate plate and a cover plate 13 connected with the other side of the intermediate plate. The platelike body can be folded between the respective plates via two parallel creases 4 and 5. Two cut lines 6 and 7 for inserting at least the right and left ends of a thin disklike recording medium 2 for holding are formed on the recording medium holding plate so that they are not parallel to the creases.
