PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slab protecting device for a cleaning tank, which securely protects a concrete in the curing process against damage or change of properties, in an easy and less costly manner and is suitable for space saving, and a method for forming a slab for the cleaning tank. SOLUTION: This slab protecting device comprises a protecting frame 3, a protecting cover 4 and tie bars 51. The protecting frame 3 has two opening faces opposed to each other and the protecting cover 4 is available separately from the protecting frame 3, placed on the upper part of the protecting frame 3 and covers one of the two mutually opposite opening faces.
