<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor having a plurality of image generators capable of banding writing in both RGB and YMCK systems, its processing method, and a tandem system printer in which overrun is not caused by the ratio of writing objects in the RGB and YMCK systems existing in a segment, i.e., a fragment of one page, and useless preprocessing and deterioration of print quality can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a means for calculating/ managing the ratio of RGB, YMCK color space data existing in the segment, and a control means for selecting a prediction formula corresponding to the ratio of color space data from a means storing several kinds of prediction formula based on that information and informing the selected prediction formula to a writing prediction means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
