PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new microorganisms capable of efficiently degrading aromatic compounds such as bisphenol A and/or halogenated organic compounds such as dioxins even under atmospheric conditions. SOLUTION: The new microorganism is white rot fungus FERM P-18828 having high ability to degrade aromatic compounds such as bisphenol A and/or halogenated organic compounds such as dioxins.
