PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field crop peeler which can accurately and surely perform works for peeling and cutting various field crops to even lengths without deforming the cut portions and peeled portions of the field crops. SOLUTION: A portion near to a cutting position set to the leaf portion Ac of a Welsh onion A and approximately facing the rotary blade 51a of a leaf-cutting unit 51 constituting a leaf cutter 50 is held with the holding members 26a, 26a of a holding unit 26 constituting a peeling device 25 and then continuously or intermittently transported approximately synchronously with the transport speed of a transport conveyer 2. Unnecessary skins Ae covering the stem portion Ab of the Welch onion A are peeled and separated with a peeling unit 28, and the leaf portion Ac of the Welch onion A held with or released from the holding unit 26 is cut with the rotary blade 51a of the leaf-cutting unit 51.
