<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a goods management device capable of flexibly coping with the space demand by a customer, and properly managing documents. <P>SOLUTION: A document managing device 101 comprises a document database 207 for storing the storage information for relating the information indicating a storage place for storing goods, the information on the goods, and a storage period of the goods in the storage place, a receiving control part 213 for receiving the request for retrieving the storage information, a control part 201 for extracting the storage information to respond to the request for retrieval received by the receiving control part 213 from the document database 207, and a transmission control part 215 for transmitting the extracted storage information.
