PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient and highly reliable surface working device easy in maintenability for performing works such as the removal of an oxide film and the substrate treatment of a metal surface by a mechanical means without using chemicals in a material manufacturing process. SOLUTION: This surface working device works the surface of a workpiece by blowing an abrasive upon the surface of the moving workpiece by using compressed air compressed by a compressed air generator or a centrifugal force from an impeller. The surface working device 1 has a dust collector 9 for recovering the abrasive after being blown upon the workpiece, and a nozzle 6 communicated with the duct collector by an exhaust pipe 13, and blowing exhaust air generated from the duct collector upon at least one of a part before working the workpiece and a part after working.
