PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a round saw with less variation of a durable life capable of inexpensively cutting a metal cut material with the excellent abrasion resistance of a cutting blade and a favorable cutting property. SOLUTION: The rake face 23 of a round saw 1 has a projecting point 231 projecting in the rotating direction of the round saw 1, a first rake face 233 and a second rake face 235. While a line connecting the center 3 of the round saw 1 with the projecting point 231 is used as a reference line, and angle formed by the reference line and the first rake face 233 is designated asα; an angle formed by the reference line and the second rake face 235 is designated asβ; an angle formed by a tangent line and a flank 237 at a point where the reference line crosses with the circumscribed circle 35 of the round saw 1 is designated asγ; a distance from the tangent line to the projecting point 231 is designated as w (mm); and an average cutting thickness per blade at the time of using the round saw 1 is designated as tf(mm). Then, relations of 0°<α<20°, 0°<β<10°, andγ≥0°and w≥8×tfare satisfied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
