<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent insects from creeping into a folding container by closing gaps formed at the joints between the ends of respective members of the container. <P>SOLUTION: The folding container 6 comprises rectangular bottom plate 1, a pair of first side plates 2a fitted to turn freely on a pair of sides of the bottom plate opposite to each other, respectively, and a pair of second side plates 2b fitted to turn freely on a pair of the other sides of the bottom plate opposite to each other, respectively. When folding the container 6, the first side plates 2a are folded down first, and the second side plates 2b are folded down on the top of the first plates. When assembling the container, the second side plates 2b are stood first, and then the first side plates 2a are stood to form a box shape.
