INJECTION-MOLDING AND DECORATION-MOLDING METHOD FOR MOLDING BY MOLD REPLACING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently mold a decorating film by a thermosetting coating material irrespective of the state of the molding under suitable temperature control by injection molding and decoration molding the molding and the surface of the molding by individual cavity molds. SOLUTION: The two cavity molds of the injection cavity mold 1 and the decoration cavity mold 2 are used. A method for injection and decoration molding the molding by mold replacing comprises the steps of: setting the injection cavity mold 1 to a resin solidifying temperature; setting the decoration cavity mold 2 to the thermosetting temperature of the coating material; injection molding the molding 40 by the mold 1; then replacing the mold 1 with the decoration cavity mold, and forming a cavity 20 due to a gap on the surface of the molding in the cavity mold 2; press injecting a decorating coating material 41a made of a liquid-like thermosetting composition in the cavity 20, and molding the decorating film 41 on the surface of the molding. In this method, the material 41a is made of the liquid-like thermosetting composition which does not substantially contain a volatile component of the thermosetting temperature set at the boiling point of the material 41a to the decoration cavity mold.
