<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently develop a program for a new application and to improve the processing efficiency of image forming processing in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with a shared memory management file 201 for holding a shared memory key inherent to a shared memory area 211 secured on an address space 212 and an application ID of an application to which a shared memory area 211 is allocated in association with each other, and a VAS 140 including a shared memory key mediating thread 141 for retrieving a record of shared memory key having the specified application ID from the shared memory management file 201, and transmitting the retrieved shared memory key to the application calling a function on receiving a shared memory key acquisition request function call specifying the application ID of the sharing counterpart from each application. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
