PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the wavelength of a signal becomes the same degree as a chip size in a high-speed semiconductor integrated circuit whose signal frequency is higher than a giga Hertz and, therefore, a transmission line cannot be analyzed while deeming the transmission line as a concentrated constant circuit when a signal is transmitted through one piece of such a transmission line whereby impedance matching in a discontinuous part becomes difficult in the design of wiring. SOLUTION: The characteristic impedance of the signal transmission line is obtained primarily by providing parallel lines (22, 23) for confining an electromagnetic field between signal transmission lines in parallel to the signal transmission line (21). According to this method, the design of wiring, considering the impedance matching in the high-speed semiconductor integrated circuit having the signal frequency of a giga Hertz or higher, is realized.
