PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene system resin composition for communication cable that is substantially free from decreasing insulation performance, and when extruded for covering a core wire to form an insulation layer, allows both smoothness and evenness to be maintained between the interfaces of the core wire and covered insulation layer, thereby absorbing warpage occurring in a twisting process of a twisted-pair wire to solve the problem of unevenness in specifications, which may incur reduction in signal transmission and reduction in transmission properties, such as near-end crosstalks, to more easily satisfy the draft standard of category 6, and to provide a communication cable having a covered insulation layer comprising the same. SOLUTION: The ethylene-based resin composition for communication cable comprises a polyolefin oxide (B) of 0.1-5.0 pts.wt. and a polyolefin wax (C) 0.1-5.0 pts.wt. which are mixed with ethylene system resin (A) of 100 pts.wt.
