PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming material of a dielectric layer for a plasma display panel that is superior in uniformity of thickness, surface smoothness, and transparency of the dielectric layer and is capable of forming a dielectric layer having a high withstand voltage. SOLUTION: This is a forming material of dielectric layer for a plasma display panel that has a coating layer 2 for a dielectric layer on the plastic sheet support body 1 of which one face is carried out mold releasing treatment. The above dielectric layer coating layer 2 contains at least an inorganic glass powder and a resin having polyester bonding, and the glass transition temperature of this resin having polyester bonding is 0°C or less and the tensile break ductility is 700% or more.
