PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment which exerts no influence on reception- side distribution processing even when an originating source number constituting originating source information added to transmitted image data is changed. SOLUTION: In a TSI area 31, a FAX number of its own station is stored as an originating source number used for a TSI signal. In a TTI area 32, on the other hand, a FAX number of its own station is stored as an originating source number constituting the originating source information added to the transmitted image data. Then the FAX number of the station in the TSI area 31 is stored in an FIF area of a TSI signal. Furthermore, the FAX number of its own station in the TTI area 32 is overwritten to the upper end of image data as the originating source number of the originating source information. Consequently, even when the FAX number of its own station stored in the TTI area 32 is changed, the FAX number of its own station stored in the TSI area 31 is never changed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
