<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthophoto image forming method capable of providing an accurate orthophoto image with a high resolution by correcting an occlusion area. <P>SOLUTION: A first image just below a flying object is acquired by a line sensor formed by arranging imaging elements in a direction orthogonal to the flying direction of the flying object. The occlusion area in a main scanning direction in a first image and a corresponding area in a sidelap image on an occlusion generating side are calculated and specified from a surface model corresponding to the image area in the first image. Occlusion area pixels in the first image converted by an orthographic projection are replaced with the corresponding area pixels specified in the sidelap image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
