<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method and winding mechanism enabling sure recording/reproducing of data tracks by preventing the reading error of servo signals even with any conveyance system of a magnetic tape drive by which repetitive taking up and delivery are performed. <P>SOLUTION: One end of a magnetic tape MT wound to be biased to an upper flange F1 of a first reel R1 is wound around a winding core T2 of a second reel R2 and is taken up on the second reel R2 by using rotating means of a supporting member 2, by which the second reel R2 is arranged to be shifted to a lower side with respect to the first reel R1 and therefore the gradient of tension is applied to the transverse direction of the magnetic tape MT traveling from the first reel R1 to the second reel R2 and the winding of the tape by being biased to a lower flange F2 of the second reel R2 is made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
