The elastic coupling between a motor vehicle internal combustion engine and an electric machine rotor has an annular housing (34) coaxial to the clutch cover and having two sections (35,36), one connected to the clutch cover and the other to the rotor. The rotor side section (36) has an annular plate (40) with a central aperture which is toothed to define a crown gear. The clutch cover housing side section has a stub (11b) on which an exterior toothed sleeve (71) is mounted to engage with the crown.
