<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name service multiplexing method, a name service multiplexing system and a name service controlling program capable of using a plurality name servers by easily multiplexing them, and of improving fault tolerance of the name servers. <P>SOLUTION: In receiving a name service processing request, a name service provider 14 determines the accessibility of the plurality of name servers 3 and 4, and accesses the accessible name server to transmit the processing request when the processing request does not accompany the change of a name space.
