PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illegal read preventing device for preventing valuable data from being illegally read. SOLUTION: This illegal read preventing device is provided with a memory 101 for storing designated data, a rewrite data generating means 105 for generating rewriting data for the memory 101, a rewrite area information storage means 106 for storing rewrite area information on the memory 101, and a rewrite means 107 for rewriting the area of the memory designated by the rewrite area information with rewrite data.
