PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small type composite connector capable of selectively attaching a modular connector and an optical connector. SOLUTION: With the connector of which a housing 1 of a modular connector holding a terminal 8 has an acceptance opening formed for accepting a counterpart plug connector 20 and the terminal 8 is equipped with a contact part 8A in contact with a terminal of the counterpart plug connector and a connecting part 8C connected with either an outside circuit or a wire, the housing 1 also stores a light connector 9 and the acceptance opening of the housing is formed as a common opening 4 capable of selectively accepting either the counterpart plug connector 20 or the counterpart light connector 30. On the inner surface of the common opening 4, a first guide face 10 for guiding for insertion of the counterpart plug connector 20 and a second guide face 11 for guiding for insertion of the counterpart light connector 30, the light connector stored in the housing positioned further backward than an insertion-mounting position of the counterpart plug connector.
