<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an information indicator and an information indicating method which enables the audience or a user to easily retrieve and acquire desired information. <P>SOLUTION: After displaying a plurality of icons for guiding various genre information on a part of a display screen, the information indicator displays a contents description corresponding to one icon selected among the genre information icons.
