PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube which comprises a deflecting yoke that can reduce the leak magnetic field. SOLUTION: This is a cathode-ray tube device provided with a deflecting yoke that contains a ferrite core for increasing the magnetic efficiency by reducing the loss of the magnetic force in the horizontal and vertical deflecting magnetic fields generated by a horizontal deflecting coil and a vertical deflecting coil. The deflecting yoke is constructed so that a diameter (Rc) of the ferrite core edge of the screen part is made 50%-85% of a diameter (Rh) of the horizontal deflecting coil edge of the screen part. And a distance (Ld) from the horizontal deflecting coil edge to the ferrite core edge of the screen part is made 27%-50% of the length (Lh) in the tube axis direction (Z) of the above horizontal deflecting coil.
