PURPOSE: A canister apparatus is provided to reduce time and costs for a leakage test, while achieving improved fuel efficiency and preventing an environmental contamination. CONSTITUTION: A canister apparatus comprises a housing filled with an activated carbon; an inlet pipe communicated to a fuel tank(1) and which allows for inflow of fuel gas; an exhaust pipe where the fuel gas is filtered by the activated carbon and exhausted; a guide pipe for collecting the fuel gas and guiding the collected fuel gas to a cylinder of an engine; and a close valve(42) communicated to a control valve(50) mounted in a guide pipe(13) so as to control the engine driving operation, wherein the close valve is mounted in the exhaust pipe so as to open/close the exhaust pipe in correspondence to the operating state of the control valve.
