PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for thermal transfer printing are provided to improve productivity by rapidly and continuously carrying out a printing work through continuously feeding articles into a printing position. CONSTITUTION: A thermal transfer printing apparatus includes an injection molding device for injection-molding an article(130) and a stacking device for stacking articles on a mounting table(131) by using a robot. A first conveying line is provided to continuously feed the mounting tables(131) into a transfer position of a table(111). A body(110) of the thermal transfer printing apparatus rotates a heating roller(140) in a state that a transfer paper(120) and the heating roller(140) sequentially make contact with the article(130) stacked on the table(111). A second conveying line is provided to discharge articles(130).
